Coming Up Verena Mayer-Kolbinger

Suddenly, something is there.

A feeling, a thought, perhaps even a part of yourself that reveals itself without you having consciously developed it. You recognize yourself in it and are surprised at the same time.

This painting revolves around precisely this moment. The instant when something becomes visible within YOU, something you hadn’t planned. Something that has developed without pressure, without constant intervention. And suddenly, it’s there. So clear, so vibrant, so present.

A moment of pause. Almost as if you’re stepping back and observing yourself from a slight distance.

And then there’s this wonder.
Wow!

The form resembles a blossom unfolding from within itself. Still close to the bud, yet already in motion. Feathery structures opening, almost dancing. A transition between holding back and becoming visible.

This inevitably raises the question: Where does it come from?

Not from effort or deliberate action. But from an inner core that works even when we are not consciously aware of it. Our body, our thoughts, our entire being is constantly in motion, evolving, reshaping. It happens without our intervention. Because it is our being.

And in this recognition lies the power of this painting.

It reminds us that not everything has to be earned. That something is inherent within us, wanting to grow. That development arises not only from discipline but also from trust.

The delicate green tones carry a quiet, almost subdued quality. Amidst them, red and yellow set clear, vibrant accents. Like small signs of energy making its way.

This painting is not a call to do more. Rather the opposite.

It invites you to pause for a moment. Perhaps in the morning, before the day begins. To look a moment longer.

And to ask yourself:
What within me is currently revealing itself that I can’t quite grasp yet?
And can I allow it to be there without immediately explaining it?

This painting reminds you that there is more within you than you can plan.

As the painting was created, I had the vision that every morning on your way to your daily work, you would pause briefly at this painting and remember: I am a miracle!

Art is more than a decorative picture on the wall.

Art is a luxury you’re allowed to treat yourself to, because it makes something resonate within you.
Art is individual—and the opposite of mass-produced goods and fast-moving fashion.
A work of art stays with you (and sometimes for generations) and becomes part of your life and all the stories within it.

My paintings are resources in which you can recognize yourself.
They are my personal engagement with the challenges and beauty of life.

I invite you to find your own resource in the depths of the layers and the richness of the colors—for strength, focus, or calm in your own life. And to give your home a truly personal touch with my art, and tell your own story through it.
