This painting was the beginning.
Not just of the series \u2013 but also of my return to myself.<\/h3>\n
After my largest solo exhibition to date, in which I had intensively explored the plant world and my grandfather, I suddenly felt an emptiness. Everything had been right, but something was missing: my connection to myself. <\/p>\n
So I started anew. I stretched old linen sheets from my grandmother onto stretcher frames \u2013 fabrics from her dowry, imbued with everyday life, history, and origin. On this foundation, I worked with flowing shades of blue \u2013 following my need for movement. For freedom. <\/p>\n
What emerged was a painting about origin and independence. About the bond between sisters. About my sister and me \u2013 as different as blossom and root, yet from the same earth. About our mother. About what remains when paths diverge and memories connect. <\/p>\n
As children, we loved to invent stories. Fairy tales were read to us, and the song \u201cSleeping Beauty was a beautiful child\u201d accompanied us like a refrain. I wanted to be a princess. My sister didn’t. She didn’t want to fit into my world \u2013 and created her own. I would have liked to belong. But I couldn’t. Perhaps that was our first separation. And yet: We were always together. <\/p>\n

Of fairy tales and rose bushes<\/h3>\n
The painting is inspired by wild rose bushes. Untamed, powerful. Rosewood, delicate leaves, petals so delicate and thorns so hurtful and vulnerable at the same time. Like us. Later, her first daughter was born \u2013 as gentle as the pink wild rose blossoms that characterize the painting. <\/p>\n
It shows tensions: delicate lines like petals, interwoven with strong red tones that intertwine. In the lower area lies a deep blue-black \u2013 heavy, like the weight of generations. And yet, above it all is something light, magical. Like a memory that remains, even though it changes. <\/p>\n

The non-conformists, the free, the wild.
Those who do not bend, but proliferate.
Who grow where no gardener wants them \u2013
and who enchant everything precisely there.<\/p>\n
It is a painting for my sister
and for her daughters.
For what remains when all words fall silent
and only colors speak.<\/p>\n
The wild rose is not an ornament.
It is origin.
It is a memory of what was \u2013
and at the same time a promise of what is to come.<\/p>\n
In 2025, a circle closed:<\/h3>\n
This painting hung in a retrospective \u2013 alongside works by very famous artists who have long passed away.
And amidst all these voices, it whispered something to me:
You have found your place.
Not on the path you thought.
But on your own.<\/p>\n

You can personally pick up your desired artwork at my studio in Karlsruhe. Alternatively, I will send it to you professionally and securely packaged (free of charge within Germany and for purchases over 1000 EUR). For larger or international shipments, I will gladly provide exact prices upon request. <\/p>\nWhat happens if the artwork arrives damaged?<\/strong>
I carefully pack each artwork in a sturdy wooden crate. Should anything arrive damaged, I will immediately offer a replacement or refund \u2013 straightforward and personal. <\/p>\nCan I return the artwork if I don’t like it?<\/strong>
Yes. You can return the artwork within 14 days if it does not meet your expectations. I understand that art is very personal. However, I ask that you cover the shipping and return costs. <\/p>\nHow long does shipping take?<\/strong>
