This painting shows a thistle as it stands in late summer \u2013 no longer fresh and plump, but dried up and yet full of history. The colors are different than usual for the series: olive green, beige, brown accents. No neon, no radiant pink. Everything feels earthier, more reserved \u2013 and that is precisely where its power lies. <\/p>\n
While painting, I was listening to the song Sunshine by OneRepublic. The lyrics are about choosing the light, letting go of worries, not dwelling in negativity. But while I had these words in my ear, I also felt: there are times when we are allowed to stop pushing ourselves \u2013 even when it comes to the supposedly positive. We don’t always have to strive for more. Sometimes that’s exactly what dries us out. <\/p>\n

The painting carries this tension: sun-ripened and dried out. Strength and exhaustion. The raw, unfinished quality was important to me \u2013 I deliberately stopped earlier, leaving the final layers unset. Because that’s exactly how this moment feels: standing still before it becomes too much. <\/p>\n

You can pick up your chosen work in person at my studio in Karlsruhe. Alternatively, I can ship it to you professionally and securely packed (free within Germany for purchases over 1,000 EUR). For larger or international shipments, I’m happy to provide exact prices upon request. <\/p>\nWhat happens if the artwork arrives damaged?<\/strong>
I pack every piece carefully in a sturdy wooden crate. Should something arrive damaged nonetheless, I offer an immediate replacement or refund \u2013 straightforward and personal. <\/p>\nCan I return the work if I don’t like it?<\/strong>
Yes. You can return the work within 14 days if it doesn’t meet your expectations. I understand that art is very personal. However, I ask that you cover the shipping and return costs. <\/p>\nHow long does shipping take?<\/strong>
