This painting may be the most personal one in the series.
It holds the tension that so many highly sensitive people know: the desire to show yourself\u2014and at the same time to protect yourself.
The view from above of an artichoke or protea reveals the inside without giving it away.
Every single leaf is clearly defined.
What looks like structure is, in truth, a space for feeling.<\/p>\n

The colours\u2014deep black-purple, rich black-green layered over fiery orange and cool purple\u2014feel dark, but not closed off.
On the contrary: if you look closely, you\u2019ll see a shimmer in the darkness.
Richness.
Aliveness.<\/p>\n

While I was painting, there was this feeling of breaking a rule.
\u201cYou\u2019re not supposed to put this much darkness in the foreground.\u201d
I did it anyway.<\/p>\n

Because it was right.<\/p>\n

Because that\u2019s how it felt.<\/p>\n

Because my gentleness wanted to show itself right here\u2014in depth, not in light.<\/p>\n

This painting tells of how strength doesn\u2019t always shine.
Sometimes it lies in retreat.
In holding your own contradictions.
In choosing to stand by yourself\u2014even when no one sees it.<\/p>\n

How will the artwork get to me?<\/strong>
You can pick up your chosen piece in person at my studio in Karlsruhe. Alternatively, I can send it to you professionally and securely packaged (free within Germany and for purchases of \u20ac1,000 or more). For larger or international shipments, I\u2019ll be happy to provide exact prices on request. <\/p>\n

What happens if the artwork arrives damaged?<\/strong>
I pack every piece carefully in a sturdy wooden crate. If anything does arrive damaged, I\u2019ll offer an immediate replacement or refund\u2014straightforward and personal. <\/p>\n

Can I return the piece if I don\u2019t like it?<\/strong>
Yes. You can return the piece within 14 days if it doesn\u2019t meet your expectations. I understand that art is very personal. However, I ask that you cover the shipping and return costs. <\/p>\n

How long does shipping take?<\/strong>
Within Germany, delivery takes approx. 5\u20138 business days. You\u2019ll receive a tracking number so you can follow your artwork all the way to arrival. <\/p>\n
