The intention for this painting was a snowdrop—the coldness and gratitude we feel when we see the delicate plant bloom in the middle of winter. While working on this painting, an intention of velvety strength came more and more into play. I allowed myself to shift the intention and bring the violet and its depth of colour into the picture.
