Little Wonders
A series between childlike wonder and inner strength
A glance becomes a pause—
and the inconspicuous becomes a little wonder
Little Wonders is a series about conscious pausing.
About small discoveries we could easily overlook—yet have the potential to lead us back to our center.
Feathers and shells are at the heart of these works.
They are fragile finds and at the same time powerful symbols: for lightness, longing, daydreams, inner strength.
Yet the series doesn’t remain in the delicate.
It moves between dimensions:
between childlike wonder and adult decisiveness.
Between quiet observation and inner activation.
Between the desire to preserve something—and the courage to defend it.
Little Wonders tells of collecting and the joy of carrying small treasures home.
Of preserving seemingly inconspicuous things that carry their own story within.
At the same time, a larger space opens up:
The found objects become metaphors for inner states.
For flying and falling.
For losing yourself in daydreams—and finding clarity again.
For the strength hidden in the delicate.
The series spans an arc from quiet, floating moments to concentrated, almost blazing energy.
From wide, flowing compositions to focused intensity.
Little Wonders is therefore not just a tribute to small things. It is a reminder that attention transforms spaces—in the painting and in life.
Each feather in the painting represents a decision in life.
Some were made from joy, others from fear, some in the midst of being overwhelmed.
On their own they are inconspicuous, but together they become capable of carrying weight: Only many feathers form a wing, only many decisions tell a biography. Whatever the trigger was—hope, curiosity, doubt, or despair—in the end a visible result remains, a little wonder that lets wings grow.
This series Little Wonders wants to remind you: Stay in the here and now, look closely. In every seemingly insignificant detail lies a great wonder—if you give it your attention.
