Listen to This Summer Morning

A sweet moment between two worlds.
Not quite awake yet, but no longer in the dream.
This painting is about that transition. The moment when the subconscious is still open and the day slowly begins to emerge.
Thoughts are not yet sorted, nothing is fixed.
Everything is possible because nothing is being judged yet.
We are still dream beings…
Impressions come unfiltered.
A sound making its way through.
In my case, the chirping of birds.
The cool morning air surrounding me.
It is quiet, without being empty. Rather filled with a silent contentment.
In this state lies a special clarity. No plan, no structure, but a subtle knowing. A sense of what feels right and what doesn’t. Before the mind begins to categorize everything.
Completely open. Completely soft. Pure feeling.
The painting captures exactly this openness. Light, delicate shades of blue and green open up a wide space. Softer, almost floating forms layer over them. And then this intensification: a vibrant, warm core of red, pink, and orange that expands while being held at the same time.
Lines move through the painting, some clear, some searching. They connect and interrupt simultaneously. Like thoughts that emerge, disappear again, and reshape themselves.
This tension is deliberately placed. Calm and movement. Softness and intensity. Openness and focus.
This is the magic of a (summer) morning for me.
Not in either-or, but in simultaneity.
The subconscious and the conscious.
What we feel, and what we make of it.
This painting reminds us not to skip over this transition. But to perceive it.
Perhaps in the morning, before the day catches up with you.
To stay a moment longer in the in-between.
And to listen to what reveals itself before you decide.
This painting wants to be an invitation to you to perceive both worlds.

Art is more than a decorative picture on the wall.
Art is a luxury you’re allowed to treat yourself to, because it makes something resonate within you.
Art is individual—and the opposite of mass-produced goods and fast-moving fashion.
A work of art stays with you (and sometimes for generations) and becomes part of your life and all the stories within it.
My paintings are resources in which you can recognize yourself.
They are my personal engagement with the challenges and beauty of life.
I invite you to find your own resource in the depths of the layers and the richness of the colors—for strength, focus, or calm in your own life. And to give your home a truly personal touch with my art, and tell your own story through it.
