Tender Heart in a Warrior’s Dress

2023 – “Tender Warrior” Series (to the series)
80 x 100 x 1.5 cm
Acrylic and oil stick on canvas

This painting wasn’t intended to be part of a series.
I just wanted to paint – an artichoke, which has fascinated me for a long time.
But as the colors flowed and layer upon layer emerged, something deeper revealed itself.
I wasn’t just painting a plant. I was painting a feeling I’ve known forever.

High sensitivity – that delicate perception that often feels like too much.

This perception that knows no thick skin, but has a strong soul.
The resilience of some leaves, the protected center – they reminded me of myself.

Of all those moments when I appear strong and yet am so sensitive.

And so, almost incidentally, the idea for the series was born.
A single painting set everything in motion.
It became a quiet realization:

I can be tender. I can protect myself. I can be powerful and soft at the same time.

The colors – light green, earthy tones, accents in pink and neon – tell this story.
Of strength that isn’t hard.
Of armor that doesn’t hide, but makes visible what lives beneath.

You are not too much. You are just right.
Your tenderness is not a weakness – it is your truth.
And your strength.

The central blossom stands out.
It flies. And knows: it still belongs.

You can let go. And you can fly.
Because you are connected – even in the air.

Art is more than a decorative picture on the wall.

Art is a luxury you’re allowed to treat yourself to, because it makes something resonate within you.
Art is individual—and the opposite of mass-produced goods and fast-moving fashion.
A work of art stays with you (and sometimes for generations) and becomes part of your life and all the stories within it.

My paintings are resources in which you can recognize yourself.
They are my personal engagement with the challenges and beauty of life.

I invite you to find your own resource in the depths of the layers and the richness of the colors—for strength, focus, or calm in your own life. And to give your home a truly personal touch with my art, and tell your own story through it.
