This painting may be the most personal one in the series.
It holds the tension that so many highly sensitive people know: the desire to show yourself—and at the same time to protect yourself.
The view from above of an artichoke or protea reveals the inside without giving it away.
Every single leaf is clearly defined.
What looks like structure is, in truth, a space for feeling.
The colours—deep black-purple, rich black-green layered over fiery orange and cool purple—feel dark, but not closed off.
On the contrary: if you look closely, you’ll see a shimmer in the darkness.
Richness.
Aliveness.
While I was painting, there was this feeling of breaking a rule.
“You’re not supposed to put this much darkness in the foreground.”
I did it anyway.
Because it was right.
Because that’s how it felt.
Because my gentleness wanted to show itself right here—in depth, not in light.
This painting tells of how strength doesn’t always shine.
Sometimes it lies in retreat.
In holding your own contradictions.
In choosing to stand by yourself—even when no one sees it.

3. Secure processing
Once you've confirmed, the work will be professionally packed and shipped free of charge (within Germany). It will arrive in a sturdy wooden crate, well-protected and insured. You'll receive a tracking number – so you can sit back and look forward to your new piece of art.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will I receive the artwork?
You can pick up your desired artwork in person at my studio in Karlsruhe. Alternatively, I will send it to you professionally and securely packaged (free within Germany and for purchases over 1000 EUR). For larger or international shipments, I will gladly provide you with exact prices upon request.
What happens if the artwork arrives damaged?
I carefully pack each piece in a sturdy wooden crate. Should anything arrive damaged, I offer an immediate replacement or refund – straightforward and personal.
Can I return the artwork if I don't like it?
Yes. You can return the artwork within 14 days if it does not meet your expectations. I understand that art is very personal. However, I kindly ask you to cover the shipping and return costs.
How long does shipping take?
Within Germany, delivery time is approximately 5–8 business days. You will receive a tracking number so you can follow your artwork until it arrives.
